If you got a spacer, you use your flexplate. The 6.0 / 4L80E flexplate has the spacer made into (ie. welded) it. The 6.0 flexplate that comes on the aluminum headed 6.0 2001 and up is all that is needed. You don't need a spacer with it.

The 6.0 didn't come with a flexplate.

But, I do thank you for the info on the Transmission, Got it yesterday!!!!! Sweet deal and 10 miles on it. Thanks

Cool deal on the trans! What motor are you putting the trans behind? What I'm saying is, the 6.0 flexplate has the spacer built into it, so you don't need it.

I'm using a 6.0 and 4L80, and I have a spacer, so I can just use my 5.3 flexplate????

If that is true then I am all set. but I thought the flexplate depended on the trans?

The 80 flexplate and convertor I have have six bolt holes. Do you only use three wit the 5.3 flexplate?
