What converter are you using for this swap? Some 80E vig converters have a small bolt pattern that requires reaming out of the mounting holes on the flexplate. Grippy has a thread in the drivetrain section where he got a new flexplate made to take care of this problem.

I do not think the stock 5.3L flexplate will work with this swap. It is already "bent" and you need a flexplate that is "flat" to use with the spacer. The 6.0L plate is flat and made to use with spacer and a 80E. That is how it was on my swap anyway.

I am using a 6.0 with an 80, I'm using a 80 Yank converter, I have the spacer, but I just need a stock 6.0/80 Flexplate.

Right?? LOL

What I was saying is, my 6.0 flywheel has the spacer already made into it....welded to it. If ya want I can snap a picture of it. If you use a simillar flywheel, you won't need your spacer. Uno momento.....

Badmofo is correct!

I don't think 6.0L flexplates come with the spacer if you buy one from a dealer.

Just don't try to use a 5.3L flexplate at all, won't work.
