Yeah Speed Engineering offers upgraded header gaskets but they throw in the bimetal ones for free. I used ICT Billet's header bolts with the zinc coating to help keep corrosion from forming in the heads like the raw steel bolts can cause. You'll love the quality and ease of installation with the SE kit. I kinda like the old school bumper exhaust exit myself as long as it's tucked up real tight with the bumper/rollpan.

You may be a little disappointed with how the tips exit as they kinda hang down and the split would look better if they were somewhat tighter IMO. The muffler shop that bent my tails, on my request pulled the SE tips tighter together making them look much better, but stuff like that is in the eye of the beholder lol.

Pic from the dual thread shows the hang down and wide split.

My SE tips after re-worked and blacked out.

Default More parts coming in

Got some more parts coming in. Haven’t ordered the TS cam yet but it’s coming. Thinking about taking advantage of there Black Friday sale. Stage 3 high lift truck cam, pushrods n single springs. Probably get the trunion kit and do everything on the financial side with Affirm. I did the financial part with Affirm for my lift n it was nice to not empty the bank account right away, lol.
But I did order the flex a lite electric fan kit. Decided to go this route instead of searching through junk yards. Took advantage of Jeg’s Black Friday deal n saved quite a bit. Pics of before and after the install. Have to order that alternator still too.
Also I did put on the Speed Engineering cold air intake. Have to say, this kit is very nice. The one thing I like about there setup compared to the K&N is the main tube connecting the throttle body. It’s full pipe all the way to the filter. Lots of the others I saw had the pipe get very skinny like the Oem setup.

You have to remove the EGR completely if you install headers. They sell a EGR block off plate for the intake manifold. When you get the truck tuned, all the EGR stuff can be disabled so it runs normal without it.
