Ported heads, grind rocker (intake side) bolts or buy shorter ones???

A basic metric tap and die set will have the die needed for cleaning up the threads. I always thread my die on there chop the bolt to length then back the die off and Ive got a nice clean set of threads.
This is the way that I usually cut bolts, but sometimes still have problems cutting them flush and getting the first thread right...much easier to just get new ones lol

I concur...but when i was broke,you better believe I woulda cut it...I cut s/s allthread at work all the time with above method..works great!
-One thing to consider is the heads are aluminum/easy to cross thread and a lot of times oe bolts are custom to where they have a rounded tip,to make starting/locating easier..and avoid cross threading...whatever lol
