Yeah 12V for sure.
Double check the ground when you re-tap the +
The USB 5V is back feeding the gauge.

I did check the ground a while ago and it looked good and clean and on there. I'll check power again. Maybe move it to whatever controls the windows or something.

Pulled the fuel rails to see if anything leaks out of the injectors when key on engine off, looking for stuck open, and nothing. One injector did fall out though and was not secured so I buttoned it back down and replaced the fuel pressure regulator and still no fix.

I drove the truck around though and it seems to drive decent except very very randomly it will seem to just die and then come back to life.

So does mine. It kept getting worse and I had to restart it, until it wouldn't restart until after about 15 minutes. I found that I wasn't getting any fuel pressure at that time, so I replaced the pump. It was good for awhile but it started over again. First randomly dying for a split second, now dying so I have to restart it.
Hurry up and find why yours is doing it before I get stranded!

When I say die it does not die all the way I don't think. More like I will drive down the road, press the gas but nothing happens, let off the gas and then down again and it goes.

I am not driving this truck around at the moment. I just took it around the neighborhood and realized my bed was being held on by one bolt lol. Need to fix that tonight.

Edit: So what is next? My thoughts are straying to a PCM like Brick said. Grounding for the O2 sensors? They seem to be working fine but I guess it is possible. Pull the whole harness out and check for broken wires? Doesn't seem like I am not getting voltage anywhere but just a thought if wires are touching. Considered pulling fuel filter but it wouldn't send fuel if it was clogged lol

running speed density on this log. Watch my attached youtube video as well. It ran even worse on SD than it did on normal fueling.

Well it is working for now so I am not going to mess with it. Fuse and fuse tap are good. I guess the ground is crap.

At least it seems like we can rule out my MAF and O2s being the issue seeing as it got worse with SD.

I'm seeing 41.xx AFR on the wideband in my scanner. If correct it's SUPER LEAN so lean it's off the chart in the VCM Scanner! When the RPM spikes up by itself in the video... the AFR comes down to a rich idle spike at 10.9 AFR.

Does your scanner show the super lean AFR? We have the same wideband... somethings off

Left yellow arrow shows Lean AFR--- Right arrow shows 10.9 AFR (white spike line) during the RPM spike

I see the super lean AFR reading as well, is it possible it’s burning coolant or oil and messing with the sensor reading?
