Guys, awesome thread,

I've got a question though, would there be a way to get rid of the resonators and just go with a header to true dual setup since the headers have a 2.5" collector. From what I'm seeing, all of the O2s are on the resonators, getting a rear O2 delete from Blackbear is no problem, but I kinda need my front ones.

In my little corner of Missouri, our inspections require you to have a muffler, nothing on cats.

I'm not much of a fabricator, and welding on bungs to stainless really doesn't excite me in the least bit

I guess the other option would be run the resonators and use a 3" to 2.5" reducer... ummm... help?

Actually, the O2 bungs are all over the place on these things, lol. I think that there is EIGHT total, so finding two to use shouldn't be an issue. I'm sure fabbing up true dual setup wouldn't be too bad either. It seems like you could actually leave the resonators and simply cut the Y pipe just before the actual "Y" part, right by the transmission crossmember area where it goes through. You'd still have 2.5" piping to connect to and what is used from the Y pipe takes care of the bends needed before the transmission and crossmember areas...

That's a much better idea, lol... what are you using to fill the other O2 bungs?

They actually include enough plugs to plug all of them if you wanted to....no worries there.

Wonderful, I think you've sold more sets of these headers for these companies than the companies themselves, you should ask for commission.

What a valuable thread!

The cats on my '01 tahoe 4x4 clogged up after 126k miles and as I searched for replacement cats, this thread convinced me to buy these headers/ory for less money! I have to admit, these things are an absolute steal at this price. I got mine for $280 shipped. They are outstanding quality in fit, finish and materials. I had plenty of clearance everywhere and didn't have to modify anything. The only downfall is the plug wire interference from primary tube on #5, but I just made a longer wire to go around it and zip tied the #7 wire out of the way. I did go with lap joint band clamps instead of the U-bolt clamps included. The truck sounds awesome now! I have a custom catback with a 12" long glasspack and magnaflow SI/DO after that, split into 2.5" tailpipes exiting straight out the back. There is absolutely no rasp, no interior resonance, no popping/cackling. It's nice and tame around town at idle/cruise, just a nice deep mellow growl.....but she really screams at WOT! Very satisfied and would highly recommend to anyone!
