Mine are doing this too. They've been doing it since I put them on. I've done all the adjusting I can without taking it all off. Think I'm gonna have to pull the passenger side header and mess with the collector/resonator and see if I can get this to stop.

Yea mines doing it on the drivers side. I've tightened everything really good and adjusted the y pipe where nothing is close to touching.

Damn that sucks. I wonder if a small piece of pipe could be inserted into the fake cat, to sort of eliminate it, or if that would even help?

Finished mine up earlier today. Needs re-tune. Sounds awesome. Makes the RST exhaust x2 better. The only thing I do not like is the valve train noise. Driver side has always been loud. No leaks that I can see. I couldn't use one of the band clamps. It was to close to the transmission cross member. I don't know if there was a real difference in the manual and auto trans.

The rear driver side spark plugs were a pain to get in. But not bad for doing it all myself.

I'm pleased, great $290 + $80 for lift time and extra parts.

out of all the people who have installed these headers, has anybody done it to a truck with a suspension lift? i have been wantin to purchase these headers for a while now but haven't since i was worried bout them fittin my truck. its a 99 Z71 silverado with the 5.3L motor and a Rough Country 6" lift. my biggest concern is the exhaust touchin the front driveshaft. if anybody has installed these headers to a lifted truck could ya please post up whether or not its worked successfully. i dont mind beatin on the headers a little bit to make them fit if i have to

How come they're never advertised for the '06 model. I have 4wd and I'm about to buy these. I want them bad but I dread wrestling with fitment issues. Oh well. I bet if I have trouble with these I'd have trouble with pacesetters. I'm gonna do it.
