As the title states, can a 6.0 block be bored that much and still have enough cylinder wall thickness to be safe and street friendly? I have a combo in mind with that bore and a 4.00" stroke crankshaft. Has anyone tried this or know of anyone who has? All help and advice welcome and appreciated

Do some reading on Yellowbullet.com people have taken them to 4.125 in max effort n/a applications with half way filling the block up with block filler.

 

4.100 X 4.00 = 422 cubes. There probably have been a few that have gone that big. You should sonic test the block before even considering it though. I will be the mature voice of reason and tell you to stick with LS3 bore size (4.065 or 4.070). Less chance of problems and pistons are very plentiful.

 

yes a friend of mine has, but his is aluminum block bored 4.100 4" stroke = 422 like mentioned! cranked it up yesterday for the first time

 

As mentioned, some blocks can go that large and some can barely go 4.040. The only way you'll know is to sonic check the block. I would also agree with Batboy aboit stick to the LS3 bore sizes. Lots of off the shelf pistons to choose from.

yes, 422 is what I was shooting for with about a 300 shot, just didn't know how big anyone had gone with reliability, 422 just sounded bad *** lol, may come up with a different recipe than that, thanks guys

 

If you're gonna hit it with that much spray I would def look at other options. The cylinder walls on a 6.0 block going 4.125 would be pretty thin for anything other than an N/A application IMO.

Have you looked at the ERL stuff at all?
