02man98 - if the cam doesn't go with the engine i'll let you know since you were the first to ask. cool?
that 6.0 will eat up so much of that mean cam sound... i would say a MS3 or T-rex with some nice P&P heads and your set and dont forget that 4K stall and your set

frank i have no need for that baby cam

i just want the shortblock

SDPC escalade crate
This crate has more than you really need, but may be what you want. I'm sure you can get just a replacement LQ9 longblock as well, they just dont show it in the catalog.

don't let it get out, but that's the one i am looking at.

i don't want to have to mess with a rebuilder, or peicing one together right now. a few more payments and it'll be paid and i'll buy something else for my daily driver, then i'll get a block and go to town on it. but for now i have to have something that will be a quick swap and is reliable.

I hear ya man. That is exactly the plan I had with my truck. Sell the manifolds and use all the rest, easy swap. I don't think that is much more money than a regular long block, but you get injectors, intake, water pump, etc.
