Ok I did a Awd conversion on my rcsb and pulled the 4wd fuse n the inside fuse box and unplugged the 4wd buttons and had no lights. And Thea other day I had the Tranny shop pull my trans and go threw it cuz it got water n it. And the unhooked the battery while doin it and now that its bak 2 gether and working great I have a service 4wd light and don't know y. It wasn't on b4 that. Did I not unplug sumthing or what??. Thanx

 

You need to unplug the 4wd module, which I believe is on the driver's side, up under the dash all of the way to the left.

Not exactly, but I *think* that it's black plastic with one connector maybe?

 

Was your RCSB a 4x4 or was it 2WD? Is it even possible to convert from 2wd to 4X4/AWD?

 

IT is possible with a ton work work and fab if 2wd was a non torsion bar frame. No one to my knowledge had done it.

 

Pretty sure that the OP went from 4x4 to AWD, which is a relatively easy swap...

Yeah you need to unplug the tccm. Its on the driver side up inside the dash. I think 99-02 had 2 connectors and 03+ have 3 connectors. Its a little black box probably 3" x 4" or so.
