Default poly trans mount, yay or nay?

So I'm having my trans rebuilt locally with a beast sunshell, borg warner clutches and band, alum. accum. pistons, transgo boost valve, PWM eliminated, and vette servo.

The stock trans mount is all dry rotted and needs replacement. I've heard the poly mounts are much stronger. I've also heard some people say they cause vibrations?

Anybody here used one? What's your opinion? Stock rubber or poly for me?

I have used both and the sock one works well because it allows it to move with the motor.. Where when i went polly (this has only happend once to me) when i launched it has broken the tail housing cuz the motor flexed and the trans didnt .. atleast i couldnt find any other explination for it..

But i would stick with stock one and jus replace it when necessary, but let some other experienced guys chime in. dont jus go off what i say alone..

I know in the F-body world the majority with experience prefer the stock rubber mount over the poly... less vibration coming through the floor.

I have poly mount here for about 8 years in my 1990....no problems at all. I also have poly engine mounts as well though.

I can get a rubber mount for 15 bucks with a lifetime warranty. Guess I'll stick with that. Lasted for 8 years already.
