yea its easy as long as you dont have an 06 or 07.... these trucks got some crazy PCM and BCM changes. my wiring took hours, i had to run a new pin from the pcm to my new harness, which basically bypasses the pcm's control of the starter. so now its like the old style, hooked straight to the starter relay/solinoid. sadly i lost the ability to just turn the key once and let the pcm take over starting, but oh well.
also-like said before, you can just hook up the black box (gear selection controller) to the auto trans harness and place it in neurtal. this will work, and the truck will run..... BUT remember nothing will work as it should in park or neurtal, because the truck believes you are not really moving. this causes it to use the wrong spark tables, disables cruise control, and also cripples abs. so you need to wire it like quik (05-older) and then you need a tune that removes the PRND switch (black box) from the truck. now the truck will act like a manual silverado

yea you will need the 5 speed cross member, and then it will bolt up perfectly. and from what another member on here said, he used his stock driveshaft on an rcsb. but if your lowered i wouldnt recomend it

Mines a 2000 and the 5 speed crossmember did not work. I had to make my own changes to the stock one. Also I used the stock driveshaft(with my 4/6 drop).
On to todays problems. My clutch engages all the way on the floor. I have to push the crap out of the pedal to get it to go in gear, which makes it very hard to shift at the track. could the slave be bad? or is the master not strong enough? Ive got a shim behind the 01+ slave, and using a stock master. Is there an adjustable slave, ridding the plastic peice of crap? I broke the stock one right where the master clips into the firewall, which was really embarrasing haveing to get pushed out of the water box. Im getting frustrated.
