Default need a clarification on a 4l80e listing

I found on local, here is what it says.

gm 4l80e serta trans out of 2002 hd3500 6.5 diesel 11,000 miles worked perfect

ok, so what is a "serta trans"?
And since it was behind a diesel, will it work behind a 6.0?

looking to bolt this to a 02 LQ4 for my swap in the 04 Silvy and just wanna make sure it'll work for me.

what is that thing on the tailshaft?

thanks
Nick

Don't think that will bolt up to LS engines since its meant for the diesels.

I would avoid it. That place doesn't seem to know anything in my opinion. No 6.5 in 2002, only duramax.

It's usable, but I would probably find another one.

The bell housing is the same, so that will still work.

A "SRTA" Service Replacement Transmission Assembly, is a rebuilt GM trans.

And the thing on the tail shaft is an output brake, which is your biggest concern. Honestly not sure on whats involved on getting rid of it.

And yes, they still had 6.5's in the cab and chassis platform. So it is still possibly a 2002 model.

As far as I know the trans itself gas vs. desiel is the same. I am being told that model uses a 2 wheel drive output shaft with that brake assembly. All you have to do is unbolt that heavy *** brake on the back of the trans and put a standard 2 wheel drive tail housing on it. The stock torque converters are different so you will need a gas one.
