So get a used unit and build it yourself, then you can take your time doing so.... I have a 2wd 4l80 and a 4wd for parts... It will probably be 6months to a year before i even start to build my 80 then it will sit until i kill the 60 i just put in my truck, unless the trans happens to go out in my yukon but i really want a 6speed in it....

The 6l60, I've also thought about that. It sounds like a huge mess of things if I make that swap, but then again I'm kind of a noob haha. Are the 4l65 and 4l60 the same?

6l80 or 6l90 are damn near impossible to use in an nbs truck without a lot of wiring..... The 4l60 and 4l65 are baially same trans with the 65 having beefed up internals and some slight modifications to the fluid pressures to handle more torque.... Byt are interchangable, i took a 4l60 and upgraded the internals to all rollerized and basically a 4l65

So the best thing to do is swap an nnbs engine in with the 6l80, and turbo it! Haha
