I have a 5.3 silvy and want to convert over to SD from what I could find with a search is simply buying a 2 Bar map and a tune and Thats it? What about IAT What about the wiring for the MAF I just need to know what I need to do I have asked so many people and so many different answers I just dont want to look like an idiot when I go try to have this thing tuned and I have cut all my wires and thank you for your help!

If you are removing the MAF completely, you will need to add an IAT sensor and splice the tan wire from your MAF connector to it. The remainder of your MAF wiring will simply be tucked away somewhere. If you leave the MAF in place, the IAT sendor built into the MAF will still function with the airflow features tuned out.

Ok, I did the same thing with my setup since I exceeded the limit of the maf with the blower. Just install the 2bar map, flash in a 2 bar os, and unplug and remove the maf, you dont need to cut anything.

................................................. ..........................................
Delphi 2 bar - 12615136 (8.1L is GM PART # 9359409)
Delphi 3.3 bar - 09373269 or 12215049
Delphi 3 bar - 12223861 or 12219935(The GM 3-bar part #12223861 will need a new connector part #15305891)
................................................. ...........................................
1 BAR is for a normally aspirated engine
2 BAR will handle a forced induction up to 14.5 psi of boost
3 BAR will handle a forced induction up to 29.0 psi of boost
................................................. ............................................
Here is the pin outputs for a 3 bar:
PIN A: ground
PIN B: signal
PIN C: power
Iam sure you will want youre ECM to read boost if anything for safety calcs...2 bar is a plug and play costs $65 bux ...your current map will not read any signifigant boost /,,,your tuner can convert absolute Manifold pressure through HP or whatever with the KAPA readings and formulate from tune from there ...

How are you reading IAT if you removed the MAF and didn't splice in another IAT sensor?

not to highjack ....whats wierd is we tuned mine both ways and it had much better response/power through mass then SD + 2bar...the downside is when it ouflows you have to reley on O2.s and knock for most of youre safety ...plus of course my WB and NB ...
