Default A few procharger questions

Just got my P1-SC kit but I had a few questions before I instal it and wait for my trans to get built.
In the instal book it shows to route the surge valve back to the intake, I am wondering if instead I can just run it to the atmosphere and place a small filter over the valve?
Also I am shooting for 10-12 PSI on my stock LQ9 what pulley size on the P1 would get me there?
Thanks.
Also what HP numbers should I expect with the procharger at that psi?

Yes you can route it into the air. Going to be hard to get 12lbs out of that with a 6.0, you should be in the 400whp range with 10lbs, some bolt ons.

not sure what size I need, I am trying trying to get the most out of my P1 but am unsure what pulley size to pick. Only 400 to the wheels you think? The truck is making 270 awhp right now, Is the P1-SC really only good for 130 hp on high boost?

130 hp to the wheels, is over 150 at the crank. Boost only thats not bad. Put a cam, ect it will make the blower shine. Like I said your going to a hard time getting 12psi with the P1 on a 6.0

Sorry to hijack this thread, but I have a similar question..Currently my surge valve links from before to after the procharger with the valve being in the middle. The valve is a shitty one that came with it and it seems to be leaking badly after a smoke test.

Was wondering if it is ok to cap it off, or zip tie it shut temporarily, and what valve should I get for a replacement on the P-1sc system. And also, if I read this correctly, it is ok not to rout it to before the S/C?

You can vent the surge valve to atmosphere with or without a filter. The reason behind recirculating back into the intake quickens the throttle response when you let off and get back onto the throttle, and it also muffles the surge system. Do not cap off the surge valve it needs to vent when your at idle or cruising. The valve that comes with the kit, aka pro flow valve, is fine unless your planning on boosting over 15psi.
