thats not a braided wire on the crank trigger is it? if not maybe you could figure out a ay to make a braided line on it of the sort to make a ground loop on the outer of the wire to ground any interferance you may pic up. hopefully you understand waht i'm trying to say here.
there is a crank sensor current cly and a cam signal hi to lo and cam signal lo to hi. in hptuners. not sure that that will help but if efilive don't maybe some might have hptuners you can use.

Is there anyway to adjust the sample rate of the wideband, maybe it just pull bits slower and doesn't report the spike?
I'm guessing interfearance....
Maybe you could try replacing the wire Crank sensor wire with a twisted pair and a non-insulated ground... but you'd know more about that than me......

Jim, When I was running my MS I had a similar problem right from the start and ended up using much more resistance in my pull up circuit on the tach to get rid of it. I have no clue why this would suddenly occur, but it may be worth a try to through that pot back on the circuit and see if more resistance helps.
AIR, I used significantly more resistance than you did (or than Scott thought anyone would ever need). I couldn't find the exact settings I used, but I found the range of what worked (truck started and ran) to be 150 ohms to 7200 ohms. I think I ended up somewhere around 4900 ohms unless my memory is playing tricks.

woohoo, i think it is fixed. geek used some vr tach input on the mega instead of the regulur tach input. at first it had the exact same problem but the vr circuit on the mega has extra circuits and potentiometers that allow you to condition the circuit. i turned those pots around and woohoo the problem went away.
i have to goto work now but later i am going to go out and try and tune it. i will know for sure if it is fixed then.

did some tuning and it all looks normal. i have a ton of work to do now to get ready. i also need to to fine tune it a little and make a few gtech runs to get it close to the 11.0 i want to run. probably wont be any pushing it till after drag week.
