Default 90mm tb ? eldebrock intake ?

i have read thru some of the many dbw 90mm ls2 threads. my question is will it work on my truck with the proper tac moduel and harness? i see a few threads where some people are having problems, is there a year range where we know this will work and some years we know wont work? i have an 03.

2nd question. the eldebrock intake... i know i will need to modify or make a 90deg elbow for the top. thats not a problem. is there anyone that sells that intake ready to bolt on with rails and fuel lines and regulator that hooks right to the stock fuel lines?

www.intakeelbows.com has the elbows. Summit sells the intake, rails, etc. as a complete package and so does Jegs.

Yes you can get the Vic Jr intake with the fuel rails. the Edlebrock fuel rails dont flow that much is the problem, which is why i opted to go with the FAST fuel rails. I had to weld new mounting brackets on it though. I am not too sure how it will all work with the stock electronics. It was a breeze with BS3. I actually used a ford TB and changed the TPS. Sounds like it could be done though. Just get a 90mm TB and bolt it on the elbow. i dont know what the diffence would be.

as for the tb i think the 03 tacs work but maybe not it depends on what part of the year model you have (early, late) then someone (forgot who at the moment) sells the harness adaptor to got from your plug style to the 90mm plug style. the part number for the tac is in here somewhere just gotta find it. then just order the adapter. i think painless or one of those companies made it. and uh BAM you got 90mm's. lol

(TAC GM pn:12574221) cross that number with yours. wcch and speartech seem to have the harness you need. i think most the problems were wireing or in jims case it was a bad tb itself.

Most of us are having the issue of seeing 100%tps at full throttle but physically the TB is only opening 80-90%. Is it a major HP killer?, not really, but it bugs the hell out of me now.

Funny that you guys started talking about this because my brain was running like crazy this morning thinking about this exact same mod!!!!

SO, what is the big advantage of this intake manifold? Will it actually improve the overall performance or just hit a certain area like low or high in the RPM range??? Seems to be about as much trouble as switching to a FAST intake due to the waterpump clearence and other issue so, both seem to have the same amount of fab work to be done...

What a cool web site. Great looking stuff.

I''d think that Speartech would be the place to go for the harness and/or questions.

I'm back ordered on the Vic. Jr. intakes for another week or two
I sell em for $390.00 with the fuel rail kit.
Also I'm working on a billet adapter to mount up a DBW 90mm ttb to the top of the Vic. Jr. intake. Ducting an elbow to the ttb entrance will be a bit easier and should improve throttle response.

Good luck.

Richard
