[QUOTE=parish8]there is a check valve on that line going to the brake booster. anytime i am under boost there will be no flow. when under vacume there might be some flow but only when i stab the brakes. i dont think it is anything to worry about.

Ford thought the same thing until they started popping pistons and then decided that they needed to do something about it and that was on a bone stock truck only making around 200hp. I just don't want your badass setup break from a small detail little this. Sometimes the smallest details make the biggest differences. Just my .02 cents worth. I know that I am kinda new to you guys on this site but this is what I do for a living and have been doing it for about nine years as a driveability technician. My daily driver is a 91 talon tsi awd turbo that is making 415hp at the crank on the original short block with 126xxxmiles with nothing but bolt ons and paying attention to the little details. I am running on cheapy street tires and it goes 0-60ft 1.75 and 8.3 at 84 mph in the eighth and 13.1 at 103 in 90 degree weather. No nitrous and stock intercooler and the factory computer with the stock maf modified. I am running 20psi of boost. 350hp at the wheels out of a 2.0L 4cyl is very impressive in my book.

another night without much time to work on the truck. i got the turbo blankets on, they fit great and really seem to do the trick. expensive but what can you do.

i also got most of the software loaded up onto my new laptop. i hooked up to the truck and went for a drive. without geting into the gas much it really runs good. with my old tune at idle my a/f ratio is right on but as soon as i touch the gas it goes way lean, like 15/1 and if i roll into it then it goes 16 or 17/1 so it seems to be flowing a lot more air at the same intake presure. prety much expected this but seeing it happen is a nice thing.

it almost seems like i may have had a problem with my old intake set up somewhere. my vacume is up from 13in or so to 15.5 now. it learns to idle almost instanly even after the battery has been unhooked for a day. even with a lean stumble as i get on the gas the truck takes right off better than before.

now that i have everything ready to run including my lap top i might be able to get out and tune it tomorrow and actualy get into the gas a little harder. this is going to be a lot of fun!!!!!

oh yeah, this new laptop flys, everything this it does it does fast. click on aol and it is up instantly, click on anything and as soon as the screen flickers it is running. i have a hot rod laptop 2gig mem, 1.73 duo processor, 120gig hard drive and a pile of other features. i have spent way too much money the last few weeks. probably done spending till the end of the year or longer, time to catch up again. good thing i have 99% of what i need to turbo the hoe sitting here.

sounds like that intake set-up is going to be killer. Thanks for keeping "us" "in the loop"
And congrats. on the new lab top. Do you have a mount for it in the truck? with you 60" times I bet holding it is a bit much lol

i went out for about an hour and tried to tune it by myself. loging and tuning and loging and tuning just takes to long especialy when the entire map needs reworked. i am going to get some help and go do some real time tuning. i have it driveable. i can say there is no more lag than before. no loss of low or mid range that i can tell and it actualy drives nicer than it did before. makes me think there might have been something wrong before.

so far on the fuel map my idle fuel is about the same. right off idle i needed to add a lot fo fuel. mid range like 60-90kpa(pre boost) it didn't need much if any fuel at all but as soon as the boost kicks it i had to add a pile of fuel.

Jim mark my words I bet that you pick up over 80hp at 15psi, over the last trip to dyno sport. I cant wait! to see what is puts down at 18 psi much less 25psi PM me on GMMM I would love to head down to see the beast get dynoed !

Good luck, to bad scott is in cali, If you need some help, I can help I know my way around MS fairly well.
