i honestly wouldnt run this intake on the street. It didnt feel great at all in the low RPMs, but damn it seemed like it was flowing some air when it got up in the RPMs

For NA I think you might be right....about being a dog down low. But I'm thinking FI will be another story, especially with the right converter. FWIW, the guy that tuned my truck said this elbow and Victor intake picked up 30rwhp over his Fast90 intake on the motor only of his 408 WS6. I realize these heavy trucks need a little more down low, especially since he runs like a 4000 stall speed converter.

But, as long as it flows at least as much air down low as a stock intake and if you have a 408 stroker like I will you will have a ton more power down low then stock would have anyways so, what does it matter if you are not getting a huge gain from the intake in that low range? V8's are know for their low end grunt so, I would think more power up top is where you would want it.

But, thats just my way of thinking (which could be totaly wrong LoL)... i prefere to have power from a roll for passing people or that special race on the highway... I have gotten into a helluvalot more races from a roll at 30mph then from a dead stop, I don't go to that track really that much at all, maybe a few times a year just for fun...

Jim, I've got all the part #s for hooking up to the stock lines. See: http://www.silveradoss.com/forums/in...howtopic=23594.

These spider style manifolds out flowed everything up to ~6600 rpms as I recall (above that the FAST won) in heads up tests with various 90mm tbs.

The article was posted a while back both here and on SSS.com.

I would give Nitrous Outlet a call for the elbow,
http://www.nitrousoutlet.com/installs/install.asp?id=22
He builds them to order, and can have nitrous bar installed.

I did not ever here of the intakes not working on the truck, and see how there is so much more room, the elbow could make a clean turn into the intake.

You could just mount the throttle body to the top of that intake, and use a silicone elbow and call it a day.

that sounds like maybe tuning. have you copied anyfiles from tunes that run that tb stock? i found a bunch of tables for tb sizes in hptuners. maybe changing those woud fix the problem.?.
