Question.

If ur two step is set to 3000 and at the finish line u let out at 5000 and go on the brakes does it turn on the 2step? How do u stop this from happening, turning the switch off mid pass? Or it'd be a pain but a switch on the Trans linkage to only 2step when in 1st gear?

Yes it will back fire like no other if you hit the brakes above the set rpm, are moving( atleast mine does). You would have to turn it off during the pass or after the traps, before you hit the brakes.

the msd should not do that. it needs to drop I believe 2/3 of what the set rpm is at. say you hold it at 2800, activate a 3000rpm 2 step and put your foot to the floor it will just rev. you would need to have it activated below 2000 rpm for it to work at 3000. for guy wanting a 3600 rpm 2 step on a truck that stalls to 3000, if its turbo you would need a 3 step. im thinking you could run 2 2steps together maybe one set at 2800 to get some back firing going on spooling the turbo then let off that one and let it get the 3600 on boost. theres no particular reason to having it set high. I run mine at 2100. my newest trick was running in a muffled class it pushed my exhaust off the headers and sheared a set screw in my dmh cutout with a nice backfire.

and to touch back to the beginning. I run mine on a switch at the brake pedal and also a toggle switch to turn it off otherwise you cant do a burnout

I dont get backfiring if I leave the switch on, but EFI Live cuts fuel.

just use a momentary ground switch as foose mentioned. it was very easy and it works great because i can only use it when the button is held. i placed mine next to the wheel so its easy access. once u let go u dont have to worry about it coming on.
