Default stock LQ4 mod ideas

picked up a stock 05' LQ4 for my Trans am A4,

i wanna get as close to 400rwhp without touching the stock 317's
Stall will be bought according to Cam choice of course..

figured i'd ask you truck guys since the LQ4 comes from a truck.. lol

a nice size cam, intake, full exhaust and a tune. should get it very close.

agreed. A 230/236 on a 112 would sound wicked and be a blast to drive.

why not gain compression , with some mill 243's?

well i happin to run a 230/236 112 in a lq4. I havnt dyno it yet but im pretty sure its at or above 400rwhp. i still run the stock 317s myself at this moment. But i would love to bump compression up with 243s. Cam makes good torque and drives great!

But the ms3 or 4 are proven to be great cams in the ls based cars.

Well im planning to keep the 317 heads stock because im also having to buy whatever converter it would need..

would a 3200 suit the 230/236 in a 3600 pound car?
