Default Why does the passanger window, door lock, power mirror not work (TBSS)

Ok, little history:

Window motor cable jumped the alignment gear causing it to not go up fully. Pulled the motor out, shimmed the window up in place until the new motor assembly came in. The passanger window/door lock switch was disconnected.

My wife complained about it not honking or something while the passanger controls were disconnected so I reconnected them still waiting for the new window motor assembly to come in, but they were hung inside the door panel.

We got some rain and some moisture found its way to the switches. The switches ended up getting fried. Grrr

Got the new motor in and got some used switches off ebay. I put them in and nothing works (window motor works when it is hot wired). I put the switches in a friends non SS TB and they work fine.

I pulled the door panel off, traced the wires and they look good all the way to the connector in the jam. I even cleaned the power connector (don't have a meter here right now so I can't check for power).

Pulled the connector apart in the jam, again everything looks fine.

Does the non SS TB use a different switch?

I will check for power, but wondering if this switch just wont work in an SS for some reason.

All other windows, door locks and driver mirror work.

Thanks in advance.

I checked power and there is power through the harness to the switches.

I double checked that the new/used window/door lock switch works with my brother in laws 07 6-cyl trailblazer. All good there.

But I get nothing in my wifes TBSS..

Any ideas?

I had that happen to mine. I know in the trucks the switches aren't actual switches but a computer modules. The drivers door is the master and some times the drivers window moduel looses connection and all quit working except for the driver or MASTER switch. To fix the issue in my truck I was told disconnect the negative battery cable over night and plug it back in the next morning. As much as I fought my self in saying this was bull crap I did it anyways and to my supprise it worked! I have yet to have an issue with my passanger side window and mirror controls again. Give it a try. it was explained that some times the computer needs to be reset for it to reconize the other switches.

The passenger door module may need to be programmed. If the one you installed is unprogrammed or the incorrect calibrations it will do exactly as you are describing.

My TBSS is an 07. I have tried the switches in two other 07 6-cyl trailblazers and it works in both of them.

I will try the batterey deal.

Thanks for the suggestions..

Ok.. Pulled the Neg cable last night. It sat for 8 hours with no power. Still no life from the switches or the driverside control panel. Again, the other 3 windows/door locks work perfect.

What is involved in programing them?

Is there anything that might show up in HP tuners? I know HP doesn't do much with body control madules ect, but would there possibly be a code?

You'll need someone or a dealer with a tech2 to figure out what is happening.
