Can you tune tow/haul separte from the regular mode. I know it shfits different from the factory, but can you make changes to the tow/haul tables without significantly adjusting the regular mode.

Thinking along the lines of normal shifting for everyday driving and agressive shifting for when you want it.

 

Its been a long long time... But i think you can... If i remember back in the day i had a hand held tuner that could before i learned about custom tunes

 

Maybe someone else will chime in.

I would be doing it with either a mail order tune, or HPtuners etc.

IIRC blackbear can do this, not sure how he does it though, or what settings are changed.

 

This can be tuned easily with HPT or EFIlive. Wheatley is the man.

 

Its a piece of cake, gm has several tables in the trans cal. for "performance" mode...aka tow haul mode.

 

Its just shifting and tq management settings... But yes its seprate from normal mode..

 

it can be set up to only shift at wot (race mode)when pressed this will also down shift automaticlly to the lowest gear possible depending on your gears and speed . pm sent

 

I set my tow haul for no upshift to 2nd until like 32 mph, so I can go from a 30 roll and not have to manually hold in 1st.
