How To: VE tuning with STFTs and Wideband with EFI Live and Road Runner
#23
I have been using the roadrunner since it came out. It easily saves over an hour per vehicle when using it tune. I ran one in my 1,000+hp camaro for years with no issues. Awesome write up btw.

As stated previously in this thread, the GM Roadrunners were "discontinued" by Moates due to unresolved issues. I only had a few hours of use on mine(1MB PCM) and it was doing strange things with the timing and injector duty cycle. EFILive says they will still work in the 512KB and LB7 PCM versions.

Nice VE, looking at this VE table and reading this thread I have two question for all of you people with more experience.
I use Hptuners to tune my vehicles and I was wondering if I can tune my VE table with my fuel trims on at least the STFT, will that help my VE to look more smooth? Will have to be in open loop or close loop?
I have tune the VE in open loop and LTFT/STFT on disable mode. But it does take time to make the VE smooth.
