Default how do i tune for livernois kit?

I plan on ordering the kit here in the next week or so and want to start researching the tuning side. I have no idea how to tune for boost. I wish the kit came with at least a crappy handheld tuner to get the basics down.

Where should I start? What all do i change with timing and fuel?

I'm lost, any direction is much appreciated.

Basics to get you started would be to set the timing to about 14* in the up part of the tables. Also, richen you your PE fueling to about 11.5 AFR and make sure you have no PE delay. From there you can add timing slowly and watch for KR. The amount of timing you can run will depend on a lot of things, like how much boost you run and whether or not you are running meth. I would recommend getting a setup for 2Bar MAP, as it makes tuning for the boost a lot easier. I have EFILive, so not sure what tables you need to change in HPT, but I have access to some HPT stuff if you need some more help.

how do i set my A/F ratio using the VE table? Do I just increase the power enrichment EQ Ratio vs. RPM multiple from say 1.195 to 1.3? Without a wide band O2 how can I be sure I dont run lean? Thanks for the help BTW.

With a 1 bar setup, you have to use PE to increase your fueling. VE table only goes to 105 kPa, boost is above that. PE will continue to multiple what ever is in the 105 cell of the VE table. Yes, you will need a bigger PE multiplier.

As for not running lean, you can look at the stock O2's keeping them above .900 mv, but there not very accurate. You really need a WB O2 to do it right.

do i already have a 1 or 2 bar map? After reading alot over at the HPT site and looking at a 6.0L whipple tune I think I have a rough guess to start. So I can start pig rich with low timing and up the timing from there. Once I get the timing down I feel is safe I just slowly pull fuel away till I'm around 11.5:1 WOT. How do I tune the fuel so when at part throttle running 7psi its not too lean? WOT tuning seems easy enough. Part throttle with turbo's can go from 1psi at 20% throttle to 10psi at 25% throttle. Does the computer just keep it at 14.7 under part throttle no matter how much boost/air is coming in?

If you are gonna invest in the turbo go ahead and get a wideband. Start way rich and very little timing and once you get the a/f where you waht it you can start adding timing.

You only have a 1 bar MAP. You will have to adjust your pe fueling to allow it to come on at low throttle position and high kPa as to not run lean. This is why, especially with a turbo, you need to upgrade to a 2 bar map so you can fuel with your boost VE table and not have to relay on PE for part throttle boost. PE will get the job done, but not nearly as nicely as a good 2 bar tune.

I'm running a 2 bar custom OS from efilive that has a modified fueling table that allows me to run a commanded AF and fuel solely off the boost ve table. I don't use PE at all.

so all this extra stuff you need is why they call the Radix the most complete kit.LOL

I guess I will start with pe tuning and buy a 2 bar soon after. I'm going to need an update from HPT, more money.............
