Default Electric fans or clutch

I currently have a clutch fan thats on all the time because its locked up. I thought about replacing with electric fans. I hear electric fans can free up some horsepower but Is it worth the $500 -$600 for electric or should i stay with the clutch. Any suggestions.

You don't have to buy $600 electric fans. There's actually a set on here now for $100. Then a harness from blackbear is another $100, but you can often find those here in the classifieds as well. Then a tune and you're all set.

Electric fans. You can usually find a good set pretty cheap, and like Jrluz14 said, you can also get a harness pretty cheap to.

On my 03 Burb & 04 Avalanche the e-fan mod is one of my favorite mods done, well worth it!

The 2003 + GMT-800 trucks have the ability to have the electro-viscous (EV) fan clutch installed

If you do the swap to electric fans you'll have to get your PCM programmed to run them.

Trick Performance products has a electric fan kit that has the fans and the shroud for like $185, and you can pick up a E-fan harness from Nelson or Blackbear for about $100
