Cheapest way to turn off Torque Management on a manual tranny
#1
I'm looking for the cheapest way to turn off all of torque management. I have a manual transmission on a 2001 3/4 ton with a 6.0L. The engine has no modifications. I want to run 87 octane. I use this truck offroad all the time. The only solution I have run across is a Diablo tuner for $400. Will the Diablo turn off all of torque management? Do I need to look at different tuners? My only desire is to get this damn torque management **** turned off. Thanks for all the help.

Why is it can can't hardly turn a tire over on black top? The thing bogs like crazy if I try to take off hard. I was told it was torque management so I wouldn't damage the read end, etc.

The trucks of course don't have any transmission tq management, however there is engine torque management too. You will need it removed by getting a tune of some sort. IHDude, If you lived closer to MN, I would just do it for free. Takes 5 MIN with HP Tuners. -Joe
