A/c clutch issue on 02 silverado after tune
#1
My a/c clutch will not stay engaged. I have enough refrigerant and all my a/c components are working properly. I know it has to do with my tune. I have been fiddling with the stall saver commands(per this thread) and it seems I only makes things worse whether I add or subtract from these tables. I did a search and have found nothing really helpful. At one point I thought I fixed the problem but I had not
I have spent the last couple of days trying to figure out this problem but still am stuck.
I can use vcm controls in the scanner to force the compressor to stay on and then my a/c works perfectly because the clutch is forced to stay engaged. Is there anything I can do with Hptuners to force my clutch to stay engaged while my a/c is on?
I am on my wits end and want my a/c to work properly because California is starting to really heat up already:banghead:

Well after fiddling with more things and poking around with my light tester I have come to find out the low pressure switch off the dryer has no power. I checked all fuses and relays and everything works...I am looking for a a/c wiring diagram for an 02 5.3 but cant find a specific one. I found a 05 tahoe 5.3 a/c wiring diagram but it is not the same as mine.

edit: anyone know what the resistance is suppose to be for the pressure switch? I want to test it just to test it but need to know what the resistance should be.
There is not any power going to the pressure switch...anyone run into this problem before? I have checked everything I know to check and am stuck. The relays and fuses under the hood and in the cabin are all good.

Just to make sure you know, and no offense intended, but the A/C compressor does cycle on and off when you have the A/C button on. Its not meant to stay on 100% of the time.
Feel free to correct me if I'm missing something.

The switch on the drier bottle is a high pressure switch, not a low pressure switch, and all it does is allow the current to pass through it if all is good. You can test this by jumping the connector with a paper clip.
