4l80e lost all gears... Need opinions

This!!! ^^^^^
Seen this happen to a buddy's truck this past year. Driving down the road just cruising along everything fine and all of the sudden nothing, wouldn't move in any gear. Got it to the trans shop, pump took a crap.
May not be the pump but it's something I would definitely consider. It's easy to check to see if it is the pump too.

Remove the. Converter and its right behide it. Its the circle thing bolted unbolt it and press it out. Best way is to take the trans. Pan after unbolting pump and pry the pump out. Make sure you remove the lil prong on the input shaft and don't tear it.

But does it have 1 or 2 pumps???

Their is a quick way to diagnose if a pump is bad in the trans. Pull off the transmission lines that are going into the radiator, get a container of some kind to point the lines into. Have a buddy get in the truck and start it, if the pump is working right you will have transmission fluid gushing pretty good out of the line. It will only being coming out of one line but I said to go ahead and pull both because I can't ever remember which one is the pressure line and which is the return back to the transmission just off the top of my head. Lol.
If its coming out at a pretty slow pace or just kind of dribbling out of the line or none may come out at all than it is the pump that is bad.
Make sure to have the truck running just long enough like maybe 5-10 seconds at the most to see if fluid is coming out of the line or not. I say this because if fluid is gushing out you don't want to run the transmission too far down on fluid while you are doing this little test.

Yeah it's not a real "technical" way of diagnosing it because the transmission shops can just hook up their nice fancy gauges to be able to tell. But this shade tree mechanic hillbilly way of doing it will get the job done of diagnosing it! Hahahahaha.

You know the thing is a pump is kind of rare to go out but in the case of my buddy's 05 Silverado SS he went thru 3 pumps within the last year!! He took it to a different transmission shop and I think they finally got it right now but what a mess and costly. The other funny thing is up until the past year or so I have rarely heard of pumps going bad on 4L60 and 4L80 transmissions but within the last year besides my friends truck I have all of the sudden heard and read of other cases where pumps have been failing. Weird. Maybe it has been more of a problem over the years than I thought and I just hadn't paid much attention but now that I am more aware of it I notice where guys are having them go bad or what.
