Default Need a good tranny jack

Well apparently the cheap Harbor Freight trans jack I got doesn't like the weight of a 4L80E, converter, and transfer case bolted together. It tried to collapse on me last night and made for a very frustrating trans removal that involved a tranny tipped almost on it's side and wedged between the torsion bar crossmember and front diff yoke.

Anyway, I need a GOOD heavy duty trans jack to use on the floor. What have you guys had good luck with?

This is the one I had

When you crank on the screw to raise the jack it raises off-center....right side raises faster than the left, which makes it want to tip over.

I've been happy with the huge floor jack I got from them so far...I wonder if their hydraulic tranny jacks are decent quality?

I was just looking at that actually. They have this for $40. Would be cheaper than buying a $250-300 tranny jack.

I don't like the way that thing looks. Would those point things pock a hole in your pan if it was to big?

I dunno...I don't think either of their trans attachments will work with my jack unfortunately. I may go for one of their hydraulic units like Aaron has.

I believe that fits in the round pilot hole of a jack, that would work good with your big as jack chris but i dont know about jacking it up under the truck.
