Default nv3500 bolt up to a lsx?

whats up everyone, i was just curious if anyone has tried/succesfully swapped an lsx to a nv3500. as cool as a built auto is, i can honestly say its not for me, im kind of getting bored and really feel like havin stick again. ive looked online for the MG5 4wd trans and all i can find are trannys for $600+. swapping my buddys truck today from a 700r4 to a sm465 i was thinking id really like to go with a nv3500 like my old truck had. only problem is i have no idea if it will bolt up to my motor? or if itll work with my transfercase or what i could do for the speedo gear, electical harness etc? i figured my tuner could tune out all the unneccesary things i dont need but im unsure. hopefully someone could chime in, itd be much appreciated!

thanks

tj

Nv3500 will bolt in fine
But don't try to shift it over 5,000 rpm!

i shifted my 90 right at 5500 with no problems, but just curious why do ya say that? i take it theyre prone to get high rev lockout?? after the cam im looking into ill probably be seeing 6800-7000 shift points after katech rod bolts, i need a trans thatll hold up/ wont get lock out lol

What platform? The NV4500 is really a better trans.

oh yeah you could say that haha, but its all good, i got a great deal on my trans being fully built with sonnax parts and a custom stall through TCT, honestly kinda glad my trans came to an end lol

Good thing your sticking with the auto. I have the NV3500 now and it is by no means a performer. You will eat that trans alive with power and big tires. Plus they eat release bearings like noones business.

damn...well im kinda glad to hear i stuck with the auto minus the whole grenading it part lol, i never had any problems slamming gears in my old 90 but just like everyones said above 5.5k you get lockout and you havin the 4.8 sure your windin her out past that haha, and TOB's do go pretty quick, i had a hays super truck clutch with their "heavy duty" throwout and that thing whined after about 10k, never had a problem with it locking me out, just that noise drove me nuts
