Your question is somewhat misleading. 33x12.50's are not a realistic size for an '03 Z71 because none come with 15" wheels...which high flotation 33x12.50R15's are. Your closest off-the-shelf "33 inch" tire is a 285/75R16, which is more or less a 32.8" tall tire and 11.25" wide. Those do fit, and have been proven to fit by many on here. Plan on trimming the front valance corner off and if need be, crank the torsion bars a few turns to level the front. You should not rub if you have stock wheels...be they 16's, 17's or 18's doesn't matter.

just get a set of lift spindals and you will not have a problem with those tires. are you 2 or 4 wheel drive?

You'll need Ford torsion bar keys and longer shocks. $50 for the keys and the shocks are up to you. Even then it might rub a tad depending on the offset of the wheels.

A buddy of mine had 34's on 17x10's and they cleared with the stock keys maxed and minor trimming.
