* We want to start the race by 2:00 so please try to get your slips to us by 1:30- 1:45 so we can draw up the brackets for each class.

* ANY DOT APPROVED TIRE IS LEGAL ( ET STREETS, ET STREET RADIALS, ETC ETC ) Just no full slicks.

* This is a street car event, be realistic about this. If you wouldnt/couldnt jump in your car and drive it to work if you wanted/needed to then it probably shouldn't be in this event ( except for KOTS class )

* At the end of the day this is all for fun so don't take it to seriously and lets just have a good time.

Race Format:

• Participants must be a member of HSVRacing.com
• King 1-7 cars must be street legal: tags (no borrowed dealer tags) & registration, working lights, mufflers, DOT tires. All power adders are allowed and recommended.
• Participants must pre-register by sending a PM or post in this thread. Please include user name, car year/model, and which bracket you want to enter.
• Each participant will select one ET class per vehicle to enter. Changes are permissible up to the time brackets are finalized.
• Brackets will be drawn up by random selection, on race day.
• Event will be run on a .400 second Pro Tree (red light loses).
• 7.99 seconds or faster requires a helmet.
• Participants are encouraged to make test passes before the 2:00 start of race.
• This will be a single elimination race.
• ET class breakout will result in a loss.
• Final round competitors will be allowed to negotiate race terms before their final race (i.e. apply a no breakout rule)
• Class winners will receive a trophy and custom Rank Title on HSVRacing.com.

what will most of the cars be running time wise??

 

King 4 , 5 , and 6 have the most people in them right now...King 4 is seems like it's more for the vette guys....I'll be running King 5 but I'll have to keep my foot out of it a lil bit....

King 1 6.0 - 6.49

King 2 6.50 – 6.99

King 3 7.00 – 7.49

King 4 7.50 – 7.99

King 5 8.00 – 8.49

King 6 8.50 – 8.99

King 7 9.00 – ∞

 

how are the classes set up? do you have to run as fast as possible while still; staying within the time bracket? I.E. trying to run 6.5000 every pass if youre in king 2? or is it a bracket race where you could still win king 2 if you run a 6.99999 every single pass?

 

From 12-2 you'll do some test passes and turn in your best time slip....Since maybe you'll run faster or slower than expected..But yeah it's a elimination race that is possible to win while running in the upper end of the time for that King slot....

The race is mainly for fun and a day to stand around and B.S. with a bunch of other guys. I mean some with obviuosly take it seriously but I'm just in it to have fun and lay some rubber down. I even bought some cheap used DRs to use that day...

Yeah register on HSV...I'm hoping mine is fixed by then also...As in tomorrow when I pick up the parts for it...Fingers are crossed....If I see ya there I'll be a Cherry Red 2002 S10 Ext Cab with a LS2 in it!!!

 

Got the crank snout threads cleaned up and the new ARP bolt installed...It's looking good!!!

Oh and after the King of the Streets races are over then it's wide open to anyone that wants to race or tnt....
