Default Calvert racing-shocks-Measurement

Well i hadnt planned on changing my shocks but the daily needed new rear shocks and being a gearhead i got the crazy idea of taking the shocks from my weekend toy for the daily, that way i could improve the drag truck a little

Have been reading in here looking at a lot of different options i decided to make a thread to talk about shocks a little more

I have some bilstein 24-026758 laying around i end up not using on other toyota truck (they messure 12 1/4" compressed and 18 3/4) extended)

i took maesurments from the green truck standing on the ground from center bolt hole to center bolt hole before i took the shocks off and driverside was 17 3/4" and passenger side 18 /14"

I called calvert racing after i read possitive things about them in here and according to maesurments they recommend p/n: CR22150 wish has more upper movement space then down, the guy @ calvertracing told me our truck move up when they launch and i always tought they compressed down

according to that info the bilstein are way to short

when i relocate my shocks later will i need shorter shocks or longer? wondering if i can use the same shocks

I ended ordering ranchos, since there the same then calvert racing i ordered the RS999262 wish has Extended Length: 23.830 and Compressed Length: 15.280

It will give me 2.47" down room and 5.58 up room

I hope they wont be to long for when i relocate my rear shocks later

with cal-tracs, I don't think there is a such thing as too long...just too short.

The weld on bracket for the lower shock mount should be adjustable. That way you can raise up the mount when racing
