not trying to brag, just trying to give you guys an idea of where youll be with the swap you are talking about.

6.0L are nice adjustments. but i will say they still leave you wanting more. i think a front mount turbo is in my trucks future, cant say when but it will have it one day.

ran on back on may 1st at byron in northern il, and cut a 13.8 @ 100mph with a 2.2 60'. i dont know what the da was, but it was up there, cuz it rained a couple hours after this vid. im not launching the truck due to the fact that i dont want the guts of the t56 all over the track. i am running a 6.0L/t-56 with 4.88 gears, true-trac, caltracs, lts/ory w/magnaflow catback, thunder racing 220/220 .551/.551 on a 112 lsa, tbss intake/90mm tb, e-fans, and full street weight.
for those wondering what quik is cooking up:

Yea i need about 10k to do what id REALLY would like to do with the engine...

-Trickflow cylinder heads
-Stroke it
-Turbo (eventually twins, but single first cause im not made of money lol)
-Lsx intake 102mm
-4.10 gears
- T-56 tranny
-LT headers back to straight pipes
-Racing slicks on American racing wheels (street legal, like the Nitto NT555R)

Im hoping for like a 500-600 hp to the wheels outta that but i figured 10k would be enough to buy everything and get most of it installed cause i am by no means qualified to install that lol

Yeah. I want to drop a 6.0 in mine and a few supporting mods. I want to do the 6.0 in August, but the closer it gets it might not happen. So I'll throw in the LS6 cam and do e-fans.

We'll see.

If people are making 500+whp on a stock 4.8 with an under hood turbo, why would you do a complete build on a motor with plans of only making 500-600whp? Doesn't really make sense to me.

New heads are not necessary for 500 whp. You can mill, or port some GM heads and they will be more than enough. You don't need to build a stroker for that whp goal either.

I'm looking to make about 400-450 whp with a cammed, stock block, bolt on + spray 4.8...

What i was getting at stroked was thats what i was assuming id be getting, it will probably be more than that (alot hopefully) ... The goal isnt to get 500-600 hp the goal is to get as much Hp to the wheels without breaking lol ...

But i do know for a factor that it wont be on spray... ever...

Nitrous is actually a very safe power adder if you know what you're doing. We gained 170whp and 260wtq for around $1300 on our GT-500...
