Finally decided i am over talking

about this planning it and so on.... It will be in by sunday evening if it kills me and pisses people off.... Have 6speed cluster programmed to the truck ready to bolt in, just doesnt show correct mileage( still researching how to put it into learn mode... Sps requires a NEW cluster to program mileage) debating on holding off to get a new cluster, unless i can find a way to wipe mileage on the newer cluster so i can rewrite it.... Also bolted the engine and trans together today and will be running the harness to them tomorrow...
Coils loosley mounted...

Only had three orphaned bellhousing bolts at moment, going to pull rest off the 5.3 once its out, and i need to pull a few other things as well...

Have access to a set of good used engibe mounts i may use to save time getting it in, want the new engine/trans as complete and ready to go in as possible....

Getting close, plan on starting tomorrow evening, hoping to be done saturday afternoon or sunday depending on how it goes....

Tightened all the little stuff down, routed the harness, installed cooler lines, engine mounts, and ran new vent lines for the transfer case and trans.... Need one of the clips for the vent tubes an oil pressure sensor and possibly a starter i had to order one of the retainers for the trans cooler lines at the bottom of the bellhousing and a couple of odds and end bolts....

This is howni left it thsi evening, another 45 minutes to an hour and the 5.3/4l60 wouldve been on the ground... Had a few snags along the way.....

Sliced my finger pretty good on one of the speed nuts that hold the fascia on...

If the tip of your finger is not missing then.... Proceed! What's the problem?

So ran into a bit of a snag, need to build a harness. Didnt realize that somehwere around 09 or so they took the bank 1 downstream o2 and the x300 connector(fuel level, fuel tank pressure sensor and something else) out of the engine harness and added them to the chassis harness, and of course the connector to make my life easier isnt available... I hate cutting into a brand new harness........ Gotta do what i gotta do...
