Gotcha, just happened to trip across the 05-06 ls2 info while i was looking something up for someone else

In other news.... Shes alive!!!! had to hardwire the x300 connector and the rear o2 in, and need a few more qts of trans fluid... I plan on seeing if I can't find a different connector set to clean up what i have done, but i had to get the damn thing running.... Trans works in air but fluid being as low as it is at moment wouldnt do anything on ground.... Still on stovk tune at moment.... Forgot the laptop again today but only had an hour or so after working at my part time job to clean up my mess and to get it back together enough to get out of the shop in the morning, which i guess i am getting up early and going by walmart to get trans fluid to get it out of the shop... Only codes i have so far have been p0300 and p1761!! Have a base tune sort of setup and waiting to go, plan on setting it up to take a fairly long drive next weekend to be able to log the ltft and work on the tune.... also need to change the transfer case fluid, it looked kinda like pepto bismol

How did your motor mounts look? Every truck those years I messed with have always had a busted drivers side mount! Id put the truck in reverse and mash the gas with the brake and watch the motor move about 4-5 inches! Even low mileage ones! They're some hydraulic bs and really aren't worth a damn.... I've looked everywhere and can't find any nice aftermarket ones, not any aftermarket ones!

The driver side mount was fairly new when i bought the truck, so i am going to pull both mounts off the old engine and hold onto them, also want to compare them to the nbs mounts i have for my silverado and see if they are dimensionally the same, cant remember but a few nbs trucks/suvs that had mount issues other than sagging over time... Hell mine have lasted 264,000 and are just now worn out but still not broke from what i can tell, but the nnbs are pretty much guaranteed to have a bad mount whether theyre leaking or completely separated.... Had one of the master techs at the dealership i work at try to question me one saturday about replacing a mount because it was leaking... Someone needs to figure out a way to get some damned poly mounts made for these things.... Trucks only been around for 17 years and we cant get decent mounts for them... Wtf?? Next one i replace i think i may see if i cant take it apart and see if i cant find a poly mount that will fit, reusing the steel from the miunt itself...

The nbs style mounts have a different angle where they mount to the frame or something like that. Can't remember exactly what the deal was, but I compared them one day and they won't work... If you find out something that'll work, as far as poly mounts, let me know! I wanna get done good mounts in my truck! I almost went solid mounts, but decided against it. You think it wouldn't be a big deal at all for some of those polyurethane companies to make something for our year models?!

Ok so a quick update ran into a bit of an issue, tcm throwing a couple codes and i have reverse and if i wait long enough 5th gear.... Turns out the separator plate i got from the oarts department was for a newer (10-13) valve body, which would be fine if i didnt have an older (06) valve body, i have a spare newer upper valve body, just need a lower (and may end up finding out how much one will be)the older style separator plate is 5x expensive as the newer.... $50 vs $11!! Seem to remember the lowers being fairly inexpensive!! When i pull the valve body down i will test the tcm solenoids again just to be sure i didnt miss anything...
Also think i needto invest in some plug wires, had one break when i transferred them, and i know its on stock tune and cam is going to throw misfires codes but every cylinder but 6 and 8 are randomly tossing 1 or 2 here and there 6 is throwing 22 or so per misfire cycle and 8 isnt far behind it.... Also realized yesterday i forgot to wire in my a/c low pressure switch so ac isnt working at the moment....

Yeah right, also found a bunch of information on valve bodies and tcms tonight.... Not getting into it here but its in the 6l80 thread i started!!

Did get the ac low pressure switch hooked up this evening though, they stopped using it in 2010 or 11... Took the whole wire from the x109 connector to the switch connector for the power side and to the first splice in the harness for the ground, and took the ring terminal off the harness... I plan to basically run it the way it should have been and will tape it up wherei cant get it into the harness loom! Grabbed another set of plug wires today as well!!!

Are you a transmission guy by trade?

cause where did you get the ***** to just into the 6l80 like that?

I'll build an engine from scratch all day, but the trans internals just seem overwhelming
