Default Pinstripe Removal??

ive got a black 2000 hoe thats got a silver pinstrip that i hate. i was wondering if i took it off it you would see a line where it was? being as all the other paint has been exposed to years of sun and weather conditions. thanks..

well i took mine off and you can see the line you where talking about but i got my truck buffed out and now you cant see nothing now

you should be fine just use some adhesive remover and rubbing compound. let me know if you need any more help. oh and what condition is your paint in?

If it is the sticker paint kind you can warm it with a heat gun(be careful( and peel it of then clean and wax. Did mine this way. PITA either way you do it.

its like vinyl i guess? paint is in good shape but after 7 years in the sun and rain im sure its not 100% dark as it was off the factory floor. so take it off then have someone buff it or could i just wax it myself and get rid of the line??

You really need to buff it to get the paint to match again. WD-40 works great for taking them off also.

yep i removed my door moulding off my 95 camaro after 13 years, wd40, then used a clay bar to remove anything hanging out on the paint then buffed and waxed. Would have never known it was there
