turbo 6.0 vs turbo 4.8

Well me and my brother did some runs last night to do a little comparing, he's (ls1freek) has a 89 scsb stock 6.0 with a 216-220 cam and a turbonetics 76-68 turbo, both of us running throw a stock 80e and converter, mines a stock 4.8 with head studs and a 212-212 cam and a magnum 76-64 turbo. I was on my 20s race waight 4450 he was also about 4400 with the passenger, both trucks running on e85 and 18 degrees timing. I was on 16psi he was on 10 psi, made for an almost dead even race, he pulled just a little but after 100, half a car lenth maybe 1 at the most. So it looks like the 4.8 needs about 6psi more then a 6.0 to throw down the same power. He was on 15s with radials so he smoked me from a dig, but 50-130 was vary close.

It's the turbo making the difference so huge. Those magnum turbo's arn't very efficient. Even the Tnetics with 68mm exh will murder it. The tnetics turbo's make really good power in the low boost range I loved my Tc76 and T78 at 8-12psi. Ran better than the pt88 and gt76 below 14psi.

My new turbo is actually a BW s475 with a 92x82mm exh wheel. Stock48, the guy over at Forced Inductions told me you just got the same thing just in an S480? How do you like it?

Well you might be right, im always confused on the BW stuff, some people go by inducer mm and some by exducer mm on the exhaust. I know for a fact that BW makes an 83x75mm exhaust wheel, and that mine has a 92mm inducer on the exhaust. What im unsure about is whether my exducer is 82 or 83mm...
On Forced Inductions site, he goes by inducer mm on the exhaust side.

Yea S480 with race cover/ 1.25AR/92mm exhaust. It's a savage beast just lot's of lag up here at 7000'. Makes 24-25psi here where GT76 gave it up at 18. Bet it makes 26-27psi at sealevel ...:/
