Zachm89's Turbo SSS Build
#21
Got the intake on finally. Still have to do some vacuum line routing but there arent any fuel or vacuum leaks from the intake or rails anywhere that I could tell. I could only leave the truck running for a few seconds because theres only manifolds and a couple feet of pipe on the truck for exhaust right now. Neighbors wouldnt have been to happy, haha.

Plenty of hood clearance.

New wheels/tires for track use.

I want to say they're at least 275-285 on the width, not sure on diameter. Either way they'll be a hell of a lot better than the old set of track wheels and tires I was running...17s with some 245 highway tread tires on them. Helped my 1/4 mile time by quite a bit but 60' suffered a little because of spinning out of the hole. I don't think I'll have the same spinning issues with these but then again who knows.

I'm sure on a max effort build it would see some gains over a factory manifold, I just bought it because it looks better. And if I get any gains out of it at all then it's just a bonus. I figured with as much money as I am dumping into this truck on this build I might as well make the engine bay somewhat pleasing to the eye.

Its a pretty handy little piece and seems to be made well. The particular one that I have has one 3/8" inlet which you see in the middle, two 1/8" outlets on either side of the 3/8" and another 1/8" on each side of the block. So after all my vacuum brake system is gone I should have plenty of vacuum ports to not have to run any vacuum t's to get everything hooked up. I should be able to run an individual line from each component to the vacuum block. I hope
