Default Zachm89's Turbo SSS Build

Well, now that I have started collecting parts I guess it's time to start my own build thread. I got tired of the D1 over a year ago and sold it off and this project is just now getting off the ground. It's been way too long since I've been in the go fast world and I'm ready to get back into it. I don't really have a set goal for the truck other than I would like to take my current best of 11.70 with the procharger and run that into the ground.

The truck currently has an 06 LQ4 in it with LS9 head gaskets, ARP head bolts and a Lunati 227/233 cam w/ PAC 1218 springs and hardened pushrods. Other than that the motor is completely stock from bottom end to heads.

New parts to be installed with the build:

BW S480 T6 96mm Turbine 1.32AR w/ race cover
TRICK T6 manifold w/ 4" down pipe
Treadstone TRST9 Intercooler & 3" cold side piping
Procharger Big Red Open Race Valve (had one on my old setup and had to have another one this go around)
46mm Precision WG
Holley Hi Ram intake w/ LS3 gold blade TB
Bosch 127# Injectors
Aeromotive Dual Phantom fuel pump setup w/ -8 feed and -6 return
Aeromotive X1 series regulator
I have no f*c*ing idea cam
Hydroboost conversion
Going to start tuning on 93 and switch over to e85 once any and all bugs are worked out in the tuning.

I'm probably forgetting something but that's all I can think of right now. I'll be adding pictures periodically of everything that I've collected and throughout the build process. Any and all comments and suggestions are welcomed, this is my first go at a turbo setup so I am still very much learning. Once I get the truck back up and going with the rebuilt front differential I will be getting after this project but until I can get it moving under its own power again I'm at a bit of a stand still.

Yes, the truck is AWD. Hence why the truck is down currently having the front differential rebuilt, haha.

What happened with the front differential? Is there anything you can do to make it stronger?

Sounds like a really cool build. I like the idea of the quick spool valve; the T6 S480 would be lazy on a 6.0.

What size downpipie?

Bearings took a crap and the ring gear started jumping teeth on the pinion. NO signs whatsoever of anything going wrong until the gears started skipping, the bearings never made a sound. It was rather odd but I figured it was coming sooner or later. As far as making it stronger there's nothing that I know of that you can do to beef up the front diff unless you want to swap it out for the 9.25" version from a 3/4 ton truck but I don't feel like adding that to the list of things to figure out with this build haha.

Not for the turbo build but figured my tow rig could use an exhaust upgrade!
