Got the segment swap from HP Tuners and the trans shifts perfect now. Was out testing the truck out and I pulled over to write a tune to it and it wouldn't stay running after trying to re-start it. Starts fine, then a split second later the idle starts chugging and it slowly dies. Any throttle input kills it instantly. Re-wrote the tune calibration 3 times, tried a write entire once....no change. Had to get towed back cause the bitch won't stay running. Didn't change anything about the idle, etc...just random **** in the tune and bam, its a vegetable. I have no idea what the deal it. Weird thing is, I have seen this on several other vehicles recently...trucks, cars, and not all with my laptop/cable. So wtf...

Glad you didn't chase your tail with that. Does it just sputter like hell until it dies? Mine did this last time I drove my truck. Starts right up and will run for a sec and then starts to sputter horribly till it dies. I didn't know other people were having this issue.

I'd be really interested in a vid cause it sounds like mine acted the exact same way. I had to come back up to school so I didn't get to dig into it. Have you seen any discussions over on HPT to suggest it might be from the software?

I saw one guy on HPT forum saying he had a 2005 C6 do the same thing. It was cured by flashing the tune back to the stock OS with a Tech 2 and then writing his tune back into it.

Wow, yep that is the same as mine. I wonder what in the hell causes it. Mine would break up like that real bad until I gave it more than 50% throttle then it would clean up under moderate acceleration. Then right back to that bullshit while cruising. And then while coming to a stop light, or slowing down, it would die. Hopefully you find a fix right away man.
Did you already flash it back to stock?

Just thought of something... Some PCMs are sensitive to the DTC settings you choose when disabling the MAF for SD. I believe I may have set mine so that its pissing off the PCM.. I will try changing that tomorrow, see how/if it runs lol.
