Man that kinda sucks. Hopefully you'll get it figured out soon enough.

So that fixed it. I just drove it about 15 miles. Immediate observations...converter is way looser than I expected, and it shifts crazy hard and fast with stock settings. lol...need to calm the transmission down a bit.

Changed the error mode back to stock, MIL on second error. Just unchecked the SES enable. Some PCMs don't like being set to 'no error reported' and they act up like mine did.

So as of now, I don't have knock sensors. That Racetronix conversion harness is a load of crap. The gen 3 style sensors are completely different from the gen 4, so it isn't as simple as just swapping in the wiring. Has anybody done the gen 4 engine swap in a gen 3 vehicle and found a method of using the new style sensors?

Yea, this happened to me when I first started tuning my truck. If no MAF error is reported, then the MAF sensor won't fail.

Its a 3600 now. Real loose off idle which sucks for driving around in town, but helps the 4.8 get up to speed.

Single or triple disk? I used to run the PY3600, wasn't very loose, but just a hair too lose for me personally. Makes me want to go with a 3200 next time around.

Just makes me wonder about the variability between each converter build and differences in people's tolerability of looseness.
