What exactly did you do to clean the harness up like that and stick it behind the intake.. I sold my vic intake, cuz I thought it was going to be a nightmare.. Looks good brotha, going to be a neat ride for sure.. All the fuel lines and cell look great.. I wish my frame rails would stay that clean

Them transmission plugs can be a pain in the ***. Seems like they superglued them in. I've fought with them sob for hours, and ended up just removing the whole thing like you did.

You need to heat up the connector to loosen the glue on that range switch. Use a heat gun if you have one, or a butane torch if you're very careful.

For the transmission plugs take a small torch and heat the outside a little (not too much or else the switch cracks sometimes) and it will melt the glue enough to pull it out. They come out a little hard but use firm pressure on them and they will come.

Thanks John, however right now it's a little deceiving. Most of the harness is laying up on the windshield and on the driver's side hot parts, I haven't wired any of the injectors, coil packs, MAP sensors, TB sensor, etc...
Next week it'll look alot messier I would assume. I wish I could keep it that clean looking!!

For the fuel filter get some weld on mounts that you can wrap a hose clamp around. I'll get some pics off the prerunner if you want me to to show you how we mounted the fuel pump and filter.
Thanks Matt, I'll see if I can't get that harness clip on the front of the oil pan, now that you mention it, its' kinda coming back. But now I might have to relocate it because that's where my oil return on the turbo is gonna go!! :nunchuk1:

Also thanks for the chat today on Fuel fitting lingo, helped clear up alot of stuff, even though it looks like I'll still need some different fittings!!
Post up some pics of how Wes' fuel pump and filter are done, I'm interested. Mine are zip tied through the frame, it's not going anywhere and it's separated from the frame by that foam pad, but I'm always up for new and better ideas!

I actually forgot that I had cut that plug when I pulled my engine back in May. I saw it the other day and was like WTF, how'd that happen?? I seriously didn't remember cutting it until Lee told me I did because we couldn't pull the freaking thing off. I gotta find the harness where that plug goes now!!
I swear next time I'm leaving all the plugs connected and just pulling off the control module like I did here...CRAP...you know what, I think I'm just gonna leave it on there now that I think about it. I can solder the plug back on the harness and leave it be, the only reason I wanted to remove it was so that I could solder it without having to be upside down on the floor with slag falling on my face. Now to find that harness that was cut!!

Thanks guys, I'm thankful for the ideas, however I'm just gonna leave it on there and solder the clip back together with it still attached to the module, I'm really an idiot sometimes (most of the time)!

Thanks again though, gonna keep that trick in my back pocket for next time!!

My old tranny builder said they use some sort of silicone or something on those plugs, and they usually end up stuck. Mine has the single plug up there instead, and ive never had anytrouble. I cant believe you cut it tho!

The connectors are glued, most "normal" people unbolt the thing from the trans..
