Project EFI to Carb in my 2007 Silverado
Well, I've decided to do something a little bit different from the normal this next year on my truck. Most people will say "what a dumb idea" blah blah blah, but I'm going to take a bit of an old school approach at going fast next year.
The parts list I have worked up so far is:
Quickfuel 950cfm e85 Carb
MSD 6LS Ignition
20gallon Aluminum Fuel cell
Holley Billet 150 fuel pump w/12-803 regulator
Push lock fuel line
Still trying to figure out which throttle pedal to use and which/how long of throttle cable I need to buy. Thinking prolly just a 99-02 silverado pedal and some kind of Lokar cable. Any suggestions are appreciated. Thanks

I did a build a few years ago in my 2003 Silverado where I built a sbc with a carb. It was interesting. It was worth seeing peoples faces when I opened the hood. A lot of people said I was the dumbest person in the world, but I was the only one around with a carb'd small block chevy in a newer truck. GL in your build and have fun. Post some pics

To be honest, mainly just to try something different. Also I'm tired of the factory fuel injection. I bought my truck brand new with 22 miles on it and it's been an electrical nitemare ever since. So, I'm getting rid of it as much as I can. A good buddy of mine that will be helping me with the tune up thinks we'll make more power as well. Maybe we will, maybe we won't. It's going to be a fun project none the less
At some point I'll go back to fuel injection, but it will be aftermarket and have a couple turbos hangin off the front of it
