yes, the clips come apart, however it helps to have someone around who's done a few of them before....then you label all the wires......then you heat shrink them .......................and finally you reassemble the clips

The more I think about our motor build, the more I'm happy about the fact we went with the Probe pistons with that nice oiling slot they use

I'll have a little time later today and Sunday to work on the truck somemore

almost done stripping the MP122H head unit......it's definitely a tedious process, one I wouldn't recommend to someone who gets frustrated easily or is the impatient type. It looked like complete *** for the first 5 coats of stripper; speaking of which, I ran out, silly me thinking one can would be enough
So the plan is to finish the parts this Sunday and then drop them off with Joe to get polished

one thing that I keep wondering about is why the now bare aluminum on the outer cases vary in color so much? the piece Eaton supplies is considerably lighter in color than the cast Magnuson pieces, any metal guru's out there?

Castings are so high in impurities (non-aluminum, silicates) it doesn't surprise me that you can see variation in color. The method of casting and heat cycle also contribute to the color, I think it'll be less visible once polished out.

I went for A ride before it was tuned and it runs good.He has very little timing in it and it pulled strong.
Beating the **** out of it just seats the rings so long as there is no detonation or overheating. Besides;I love to do Failure analysis! LOL wait till he reads that. Rex.....
