Default Pearl's rcsb awd turbo build!

Hey guys. I am pretty active on some other forums. I am looking to get some more performance knowledge for this project. I have a decent amount of experience in paint, fabrication and service.

I wanted to build a rcsb so i bought this truck at an auction. Planning to keep it 2wd and 6.0/4l80e with a turbo..

Then I started thinking about parts I need and wanted to go with a loaded interior. Needed a 6.0 and interior, so I bought an escalade. Now I plan to make the rcsb awd since I have the parts.

My Plans.

HD Hood
22" Wheels (Probably Racelines)
4/6 Drop
Metallic Silver Paint

Cool project.

Out of curiosity, what did you give for each truck?

Wow, this is gonna be a sweet project.

By the looks of things it appears the collision has reached the frame on your rcsb anyways? Iirc you have to swap out the motor xmember for the awd motor xmember anyways. I believe the control arm mounting tabs are different too. One thing you could do that might save you a lot of hassle as far as the torsion bars... is just swapping straight to a nice set of shiny coilovers

Be sure to keep us posted with lots of pictures, I can't wait to see this one unfold!

Is the truck 2WD or 4WD? If it is 2WD, the frame is different (unless for some reason it has torsion bars). From everything I have gathered, you will need a 4WD frame. Te Escalade will be a nice donor. What year is the Escalade? You really want the NVG149(also referred to as the NP149, but wil be distinguished by the NP3 code in the glove box) transfer case, as that is the one suggested to handle more power.

Very intrested in this build. If it wasnt so hard to switch a 2Wd to AWD, I would switch my truck.

From my experience I dont think that the rcsb has any frame damage. Coils are a good option!

2wd. I am going wait til i get them both here and see what i want to do frame wise. I might buy another rcsb or use the escalade frame. Escalade is a 2004 with 66k on it.

If the Escalade is indeed a 2004 it will have the BorgWarner transfer case and not the NVG-149 unfortunately.

x2 on the transfer case, I don't know of a transfer input gear that will work on the 80e
