Great thread, learned a lot just reading through. Congrats on getting her on the road. Really inspiring to get my *** off the couch this winter and empty my bank accounts!

Where did you relocate the trans cooler to? Did you squeeze it in where your condenser was?

What front bumper cover do you have on in this pic?
Thanks bud. The bumper cover is just a Street Scene cover. It just slips over the stock bumper and was really easy to install.

Thanks! I put the trans cooler directly behind the intercooler and used the A frame that it was bolted to before. I basically just flipped it around and mounted it to the back side of the A frame.

Nice truck man... looks clean with all of the handles shaven. I would recommend replacing those plastic 90* fittings on your coolant lines with brass. Mine cracked and blew apart going down the freeway... I was able to rig it back to get home but my brother had to walk a couple of miles to find water

Yea that would be no bueno. I'll probably change those out when I get time to play with the truck. Didn't get to drive it at all this weekend due to the weather. Hopefully this holiday weekend I will be able to get a muffler on and put some miles on it.

It held up for over a year on my daily driver so no hurry. What muffler and tubing size are you going with?

Not sure about a muffler. I found a complete MBRP diesel truck exhaust system laying around the shop and I'm trying to use that for now. I think it is for a dodge truck but not sure. I will try and use that muffler first just to drive it around. I'm going to run a full 4" exhaust system.

Still didn't get a damn muffler on my truck. I tried to use that MBRP kit but couldn't get it to fit like I wanted. I ordered a 36" magnaflow muffler that should work just fine. I cut and used some tubing from the MBRP kit that will clamp from the downpipe to the muffler. I will have an exhaust shop weld the muffler to the 4" over the axle pipe that was built for my 408. So it should end up sounding pretty good. It will probably be a lot louder than I want but oh well. I just need to finally get the truck on the road so I can work out the bugs.

Yesterday I had some fun on 9.5lbs of boost. It was feeling like the tires were breaking loose when I stabbed it from a 25mph roll so I grabbed the go pro to see. If you look close in the vid, they aren't smoking or anything, but they are clearly leaving some tire marks. So I need to get some traction bars before I up the boost any. And you guys didn't tell me that boosted burnouts are much more fun than regular burnouts!

Nice! That turbo is going to work VERY well once you turn up the boost. Most people say the BWs really start to shine once you get the boost up there past 15 psi.

I've got the duramax MBRP kit on mine and it was completely bolt on. But the muffler it came with was completely worthless. It wasn't much quieter than the open DP. Got the 30" magnaflow diesel muffler on it and it quieted down a lot but its still fairly loud, just think it's the nature of the 4" diameter. I would have run the 36" muffler, but if you check the specs it necks down to 3.5" internally.

Thats fine with me. It will probably quiet it down some that way. I can just unbolt the muffler on the dyno or at the track if I need the horsepower. I think the MBRP kit I have is for a dodge diesel but not sure. I can't wait to get the boost up over 15 psi. I need moar fuel!! Not sure if I should go with dual 255's, a single 450, or just do a dual 450 set up and never have to worry about it again. Suggestions?

The goal is to blow this 4.8L up and throw my 408 back in the truck. 1000rwhp+ won't be too hard with the 408 and a little bigger turbo. So maybe I just need to do the dual 450's and be done.
