I got some good stuff in the mail today. I got my AEM meth controller, a bunch of fittings, devils own nozzles, ect. My meth pump will be here monday but I couldn't wait. I just decided to put the intake on and run it hard this weekend. I had a buddy tig my intake pipe for the IAT sensor and BOV after lunch. So after that was done, I worked the rest of the afternoon buttoning up the install. I'm very happy with the intake and fuel rails. Much better than the returnless rails I had on there before. Now I have the fuel lines routed from the pump, through the rails, then to the regulator. I'm still only using the same -6 feed and return but fueling is a TON better. The injectors are seeing good volume now where as before, they were always getting the short end of the stick. So needless to say, since I had to over compensate fueling in my WOT regions in the VE with how my fuel lines were routed before, I'm super rich at WOT now. That is good news to me since now I know I have a lot more fuel to work with. I am going to dust off the go pro and do some tuning tomorrow. With the go pro, I'm able to see what the fuel pressure is doing at WOT. Its hard to watch 10 gauges at once

I also pulled the 408 out and tore it down to a bare block. I pulled the crank out and am looking for someone to turn it. Every journal is trashed from when I spun a rod bearing. Hopefully it will clean up with 0.010" but I don't know. Anyone have suggestions on where to send it?

Thanks guys. I have been doing some tuning today and it is running great. Tonight when the air is good, i'll get some WOT tuning done. Can't wait to get this meth kit installed.

Did some tuning tonight. Made a bunch of 60mph-105mph pulls on 13psi and it ran great every time. Started out a bit rich as you can see in the video but that is taken care of now. You'll probably have to change it to 1080HD and go full screen to see the gauges. I target 0.78 lambda and am running 14* of timing on 91 octane. Looks like it could take some more timing but I don't really see a reason to push it. It runs really good right now. Next step is figuring out where I want to mount my meth nozzles and get all of that installed and plumbed before the last track outing on 10/17. Should be fun seeing what it runs after the small changes I've made the past couple months.

Yea I think its because we are above 2000 ft elevation. So its not really needed here.

That intake is a beaut!!! Did you put larger injectors in it? I think I remember reading you were/are a couple months ago. Any notice on the low end power? good/bad

That video makes my n/a baby cam seem slow on the highway now

No I was going to put bigger injectors in it because the holley intake requires either the ls1 or ls3 length injectors. So my 48mm injectors wouldn't bolt up. I just decided to bite the bullet and buy the $90 FIC height adaptors. With the new fuel plumbing and being on pump gas, I'm only at 50% IDC. So I have a lot more in these injectors before I will need upgrade, if I need to at all. I do plan on running a healthy dose of meth.

This week I worked on building the meth kit. As of now, I have everything mounted and plumbed except for the controller. I need to mount the controller somewhere, and wire it up. For the kit, I decided to use a stock replacement windshield washer fluid reservoir, devils own pump, nozzles, and AN nozzle holders, a nitrous express fluid solenoid, and an AEM controller. I went -6AN from the reservoir and pump just because I had the fittings to do so. Then -4AN out of the pump to the solenoid. Then it is wyed out of the solenoid to each nozzle.

Even though I don't have it wired, I primed the system with meth and opened the solenoid to get some spray out of the nozzles. The entire intake goes ice cold and stays that way for a while. Pretty damn cool. Can't wait to get the controller hooked up start tuning. After doing some math, and determining how much meth my cylinders will be seeing, I decided to target 0.75 lambda at WOT. Anyways here are some pics:
